DTF pressing instructions.
Use these settings for Impact Transfers ready-to-press DTF transfers. Heat presses and garments vary, so test one piece before starting a full production run.
Pressing setup for dependable production.
Simple, direct steps that help your team run consistent batches without guesswork.

1. Preheat the garment
Set the heat press between 280°F and 320°F (140°C–160°C). Lint-roll the print area, then pre-press the garment for 5–10 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.

2. Apply the transfer
- Temperature: 300°F–320°F (149°C–160°C)
- Time: 12–15 seconds
- Pressure: Heavy, firm pressure
Place the printed and adhesive side against the garment with the clear carrier film facing up. Keep the pressing area flat and clear of seams, zippers, buttons, or wrinkles that could create uneven pressure. Press firmly and evenly.

4. Finish with a second press
- Temperature: 300°F–320°F (149°C–160°C)
- Time: 3–5 seconds
- Pressure: Heavy, firm pressure
- Cover: Teflon sheet or parchment paper
Cover the transfer to protect the design and fabric, then press again for 3–5 seconds. Inspect the edges and fine detail before continuing the production run.

3. Warm peel
Wait a few seconds after the first press so the carrier can cool slightly. Peel the film smoothly while the transfer is still warm.

Test before full production
Heat presses, garments, and shop conditions vary. Test one transfer first and confirm adhesion, edge detail, and surface finish before pressing the full order. If your order includes different pressing directions, follow the instructions supplied with that order.
