A strong transfer starts with a file that describes only what should print. Before upload, check the background, edges, resolution, and finished dimensions—not just how the image looks at 100 percent on screen.

Inspect transparency against two backgrounds

View the PNG over both light and dark backgrounds. This exposes white boxes, leftover halos, and stray pixels that can disappear against a checkerboard but remain visible when printed.

Calculate resolution at print size

Effective DPI equals pixel width divided by printed width in inches. A 3000-pixel image placed at 10 inches is 300 DPI; the same image enlarged to 15 inches is 200 DPI. Always judge resolution at the size you intend to press.

Check the smallest details

Thin lines, tiny knockout spaces, soft glows, and semi-transparent effects deserve a final-size review. If an element is difficult to see at its actual printed dimensions, simplify or strengthen it before adding the artwork to the sheet.
